About Preschool Ministry

We would love to see you and your family visit The Bayou this Sunday.

Come join the fun and experience a place where kids meet Jesus on their level! Sharing the love of Jesus with children, ages birth through K4, in a captivating and engaging way is what The Bayou Preschool ministry is all about. Every Sunday children experience safe, age-appropriate environments where the Bible is taught in a creative and relevant way. We are so passionate about kids learning about Jesus in a way they can understand that we discourage their presence in our adult services.

First-Time Guests

Come to the Preschool & Kids Check-In counter located in the main building.

Preschoolers and Kids (K-5th) share space on Sunday mornings, which makes a one-stop drop off for parents! We will meet your family and check your child into our database system. We will ask for the following personal information: family members’ names, children’s names and birthdates, address, phone number and any special instructions (allergies, special needs) for your child. One of our volunteers will then lead you and your child to their age-appropriate room.

Check-In Process

You and your child will receive identification tags that are exclusive to your family and your visit.

We have a self-check-in process for your family. After checking-into our system, you and your child will receive printed tags exclusive to your family and your visit. Your child will need to wear the name tag portion which bears a code that is matched to your tag. The adult tag can be worn or held in a safe place.

If a tag is misplaced or lost, please go directly to the Preschool & Kids Check-In counter to present identification and receive a new tag.

What to Expect

Here’s what your little one can look forward to in Preschool.

Relationships

We value children’s relationships within the small group setting as they connect with their leader and other kids in the group. As families commit to attending the same service each week, children are placed in a group of familiar faces where relationships can grow.

Age-Appropriateness

We are so passionate about kids that our environments and lesson materials are created in a way your child will understand. This ensures that they are getting the most out of their time at church.

Safety

Every child’s nametag is matched to a parent-identification number. Every volunteer is screened with an interview and federal background check. Additionally, security personnel is on our campus during every service.

Creative Bible Teaching

The Bible is the most amazing book ever written! We strive to bring its stories to life through activities and discussions that keep children engaged. We want all children to love God’s word and understand the value of applying it to their lives.

Fun!

Kids love fun! When children have fun at church, they can’t wait to come back. We value creating fun ways for children to learn about Jesus, including games, activities and singing.

About Parent Cue

Resources to help you parent through all stages.

We want to partner with you all week long, helping you to parent your child well during the different stages of their development. The Parent Cue App is a great new tool to help you do just that.

About Parent Promise

We would love to help you in your journey as a parent.

Parent Promise is a chance to pause and think about what matters most in the life of your child. The Parent Promise experience includes a 30-minute Connect session with our Preschool Minister, a 30-minute online class to do at your convenience, and a one-hour family-friendly ceremony on our campus.

About Summer Camp

A morning camp just for preschoolers

Preschoolers are designed by God to learn through all five senses. They are made to move, explore, think, play, create, and more. That's why we've designed our four-day morning camp to help your preschoolers understand our theme (Jesus is always with me) through all five senses to include interactive games, crafts, and stories.
