Covid Regathering Alex Mask Tag 800x533

COVID-19 Safety Measures

We are taking extra precautions in our Preschool environment.

Here are a few of the changes you can expect as you join us on Sunday mornings starting October 4:

  • Each adult (dropping off/picking up) will need to wear face coverings to enter the Preschool Area. All volunteers serving will wear masks in the Preschool Area. (Children are not required to wear masks.)
  • All adults (including parents) and preschoolers will have temperature checked before entering the Preschool Area.
  • Touchless check-in will be in place to reduce contact on surfaces. Staff and volunteers will assist families.
  • Preschoolers (age 2 and up by Sept 30) will promote to a new class this fall.
  • Each classroom will have a set group of toys that have been sanitized before use for each service.
  • Preschoolers (K3 & K4) will have story time in classrooms as opposed to the larger group area. Also, preschoolers will sanitize hands before using crayons.

About Preschool Ministry

We would love to see you and your family visit The Bayou Preschool this Sunday.

Come join the fun and experience a place where kids meet Jesus on their level! Sharing the love of Jesus with children, ages birth through K4, in a captivating and engaging way is what The Bayou Preschool ministry is all about. Every Sunday children experience safe, age-appropriate environments where the Bible is taught in a creative and relevant way. We are so passionate about kids learning about Jesus in a way they can understand that we discourage their presence in our adult services.

First-Time Guests

Come to the Preschool Check-In counter located in the main building.

We will meet your family and check your child into our database system. One of our volunteers will then lead you and your child to their age-appropriate room. We will ask for the following personal information: family members’ names, children’s names and birthdates, address, phone number and any special instructions (allergies, special needs) for your child.

Check-In Process

You and your child will receive identification tags that are exclusive to your family and your visit.

Your child will need to wear the name tag portion which bears a code that is matched to your tag. The adult tag can be worn or held in a safe place. If a tag is misplaced or lost, please go directly to the Preschool Check-In Kiosk to present identification and receive a new tag.

What to Expect

Here’s what your little one can look forward to in Preschool.

We value children’s relationships within the small group setting as they connect with their leader and other kids in the group. As families commit to attending the same service each week, children are placed in a group of familiar faces where relationships can grow.

We are so passionate about kids that our environments and lesson materials are created in a way your child will understand. This ensures that they are getting the most out of their time at church.

Every child’s nametag is matched to a parent-identification number. Every volunteer is screened with an interview and federal background check. Additionally, security personnel monitor every hallway.

Creative Bible Teaching

The Bible is the most amazing book ever written! We strive to bring its stories to life through activities and discussions that keep children engaged. We want all children to love God’s word and understand the value of applying it to their lives.

Kids love fun! When children have fun at church, they can’t wait to come back. We value creating fun ways for children to learn about Jesus, including games, activities and singing.
