Adore Women's Conference

We invite you to experience community with the women of The Bayou Church at the Adore Women’s Conference. Together, we'll step away from our busy schedules and spend a weekend learning about the unparalleled rest Jesus offers our souls. We're excited to have Laurie Davies, a writer, speaker, and silver-lining finder who loves helping women ditch the baggage that God never asked us to carry. You won’t want to miss this powerful two-day event!

SPEAKER: Laurie Davies

A journalist and marketer-turned-ministry leader, Laurie Davies has been writing since her advanced composition teacher told her in 1989 that she broke too many rules. Laurie worked as a journalist and marketing professional for 25 years before making the next, obvious career move—a leap into vocational ministry as a women's ministry director for a church in the Phoenix area. 

Now a lay counselor, author and speaker, Laurie helps women live “hands-free”—setting down the emotional baggage that God didn’t ask them to carry. Laurie has contributed to Guideposts, and Chicken Soup for the Soul and she also serves as lead editor on Shaunti Feldhahn’s Atlanta-based ministry staff. Laurie lives in Mesa, Arizona, with her husband of 28 years, Greg, and their adorable puppy Pearl. Their adult son Morgan makes his home nearby.
