The Bayou Church partners with Reciprocal Ministries International (RMI) to meet the physical, spiritual, and educational needs of Haitians and Dominicans throughout the island of Hispaniola.
During this mission trip, our team will serve alongside RMI through medical clinics, Gospel-centered ministry, prayer, encouragement of local churches, and relationship-building with Haitian and Dominican families. There will be opportunities to pray with individuals, encourage pastors and ministry leaders, share the hope of Jesus, and serve local churches while supporting the work God is already doing through Reciprocal Ministries International.

We are traveling to Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, where we will partner with Reciprocal Ministries International as they minister to Haitian and Dominican communities.
Below is a general schedule of planned activities. As anyone who has been on a mission trip knows, God often opens unexpected opportunities for ministry, so schedules may change as He leads.
The team will stay in lodging arranged by Reciprocal Ministries International. Accommodations are clean, safe, and designed for mission teams with shared rooms.
Meals will be provided throughout the week and include a variety of Dominican cuisine along with familiar options. Every effort is made to prepare meals safely while allowing the team to experience the local culture.

Although civil unrest currently prevents travel into Haiti, we remain committed to supporting Pastor Solvat, sponsoring children, and strengthening the ministry through prayer, financial support, and our ongoing partnership with RMI.
One of the most meaningful ways to continue serving the people of Hispaniola is through Hope for Kidz, a child sponsorship ministry of Reciprocal Ministries International. Education is highly valued in Haiti, yet many families cannot afford the cost of sending their children to school.
