Chili/Gumbo Cook-Off

All of Acadiana is welcome to join The Bayou Church for our annual Chili/Gumbo Cook-off! Along with great chili and gumbo to taste at each tent, there will be live music from Johnny Chauvin and the Mojo Band, fun jumps, and more for your whole family to enjoy. There is no admission fee for this event, so mark your calendar for this year's Chili/Gumbo Cook-off. Don't forget to bring lawn chairs and friends along with you. We'll see you there!

Enter the Cook-Off: 

Are you a chef? Do you just love to cook? We know the best cooks have their own secret recipes, and we invite you to enter the Chili/Gumbo Cook-off for a little friendly competition. You can enter as a business, team, small group, individual ... however you'd like! At the end of the day, you get the opportunity to let hundreds of people taste your recipe and possibly the bragging rights to say you have the best chili or gumbo. (The first 10 teams to sign up get a $25 grocery gift card!)

Who:   Any family, small group, or business
When:   Sunday, November 11  //  Ready to serve by 3:00PM
What:   Make 5 gallons of your best chili or gumbo to share
Cost:   Cooking supplies and time // We provide your tent, tables, chairs, and paper products
Judging:  People's Choice: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places
Prizes:   Hand-painted awards // Bragging rights for the year
