Serve Together #ForAcadiana

We are #ForAcadiana. That means we support local businesses, encourage neighbors, donate funds, share resources, and pitch in when there is a need. So we're excited about our Serve Together #ForAcadiana project for all ages on September 26.

We are partnering with Parish Proud's Love Our Schools initiative by serving at Northside High School. Our team has the privilege to help transform the school's common courtyards into a more welcoming and functional gathering spaces by creating a raised picnic table area with rock underneath to eliminate mud and standing water after rain. We'll also plant flowers, care for existing trees, and thoughtfully preserve and enhance the features that best reflect the school's identity, creating a beautiful, harmonious environment for students, teachers, and staff to enjoy.

This project is more than a landscaping effort, it's an opportunity to invest in our local schools by creating an inviting space that fosters community, connection, and school pride. Through practical service, we hope to demonstrate the love of Jesus and leave a lasting impact on everyone who uses the space.

Event Details:
• 8:00am - Volunteer check-in
• 8:45am - Opening Ceremony
• 9:00-11:30am - Community cleanup in assigned areas

Extra Details:

• Volunteers should bring: water bottle, sun protection (hat, sunscreen, etc.), and closed-toe shoes.

• Register via this Google doc. Please note that each individual will need to sign up separately, and we ask that everyone list “The Bayou Church” in the Organization field within the waiver portion so the group can be assigned to the same zone.
