We will build relationships, teach Vacation Bible school, lead Bible studies, build homes with Mission House Ministries, and visit shut-ins of the community.


What will we do?

There will be an opportunity for a variety of ministries, both physical and spiritual. We will attend church services and visit the people in the village. We will build relationships, teach Vacation Bible school, lead Bible studies, build homes with Mission Housing Ministries, and visit shut-ins of the community..

What is our schedule?

We are traveling to the city of Comitancillo located in western highlands of Guatemala. Below is a general schedule of planned activities; however, God sometimes opens up opportunities to do things that we didn’t originally plan to do. 

Saturday: Travel 
Sunday: Half day of travel; orientation 
Monday-Thursday: Ministry 
Friday: Travel; sightseeing 
Saturday: Travel home

What are the accommodations?

Your team will stay at Mission Housing Ministries which is set up like a boarding house with shared bathrooms down the hall.

What will we eat?

Juana and Esperanza clean and cook for our teams using cleaning and food preparation processes that help keep teams healthy and strong for ministry. The meals are always good and have an authentic local flair.

Complete First Steps classes before mission departure
In First Steps classes, you will discover who we are, meet some of our staff, and connect with others at The Bayou Church. The classes are four consecutive Sundays, starting with Step One on the first Sunday of the month (January - November) at the 11:00am service in the Ministry Center classroom. We invite you to jump in at any time.
