Three-Part Strategy

We believe that having a strategy is imperative as it demonstrates how we will accomplish our mission on the broadest level. We think of strategy as a pattern of participation that clarifies the places and rhythms of being involved. We want people to clearly see their next steps and have a clear understanding of expectations as a part of The Bayou family.

Worship  //  Step One

We believe that participation in worship services is key for a maturing believer in Christ. At The Bayou Church, our worship services are designed to be a springboard to a lifestyle lived in relationship with Christ.

“Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before Him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. It is He who made us, and we are His; we are His people, the sheep of His pasture. Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name. For the Lord is good and His love endures forever; His faithfulness continues through all generations.”  Psalm 100:1-5

“Speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.”  Ephesians 5:19-20

Connect  //  Step Two

We believe that life transformation happens as a result of a growing relationship with Christ and with others. The Bayou Church provides opportunities to be a part of a greater story, no matter the age or stage of life.

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”  Romans 12:2

“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”  Hebrews 10:24-25

“How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!”  Psalms 133:1

Reach  //  Step Three

All followers of Christ are commissioned to reach our world with the Gospel. The Bayou Church equips all members to share the Gospel as we go through life providing opportunities for people to reach and be reached.

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”  Matthew 28:19-20

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”  Acts 1:8
